The Founders of the Nevada Line Dance Association, Dustin Valcalda and Sierra Gil, are award-winning choreographers and line dancers in Reno, NV. They are the Overall Champions of the United States Line Dance Choreography Competition for the 2024-2025 Season. They are also 2-Time World Choreography Champions, with a multitude of other Top 5 placements in the 2026 Country Dance World Championships.

Sierra holds a World Title in Line Dance Intermediate Solos, and 8 Overall Championships in Solo Line Dancing at various Regional Events. She is also a 22-time award-winning line dance choreographer including 2 World Championships (Have A Great Day and Bad Ideas), 2 National Titles (Check This and Transcendental Cha), and 1 Overall National Championship (Transcendental Cha).

Dustin is a 33-time award-winning line dance choreographer including 2 World Championships (Have A Great Day and Bad Ideas), 3 National Titles (Iconic, Check This, and Transcendental Cha), and 1 Overall National Championship (Transcendental Cha).

Dustin and Sierra are the Event Directors of the Biggest Little Iconic Summer Stompdown (BLISS), Northern Nevada’s largest line dance convention occurring every August in Reno, NV.

In May of 2024, Dustin and Sierra’s co-choreography Had Some Help earned a #3 position worldwide on Copperknob, and in December of 2024, their co-choreography Boots on Bars earned a #1 position worldwide on Copperknob. Both of these dances were also nominated for the 2025 Hall of Fame Awards by the Line Dance Association for Best Beginner/Improver Country line dances. Boots on Bars was a finalist.

In June of 2026, Dustin and Sierra’s co-choreography Another Bar Song earned a #1 position worldwide on Copperknob.

In addition, their co-choreographies Blame Texas, Baddie Behavior, and Keep Dancing With You were nominated for the 2026 Hall of Fame Awards by the Line Dance Association for Best Beginner/Improver Country, Best Intermediate Non-Country, and Best Beginner/Improver Non-Country, respectively. Dustin was also nominated for Best Instructor.

In 2026, Dustin and Sierra were also nominated in the LineLight Awards for Choreographers of the Year, Trailblazers of the Year, Absolute Beginner Dance of the Year (Flow Rider), Improver Dance of the Year (Shot for Shot and Steal My Thunder), Advanced Dance of the Year (Transcendental Cha), Wild Card Dance of the Year (Check This), Bar Dance of the Year (Boots on Bars, Steal My Thunder, and Shot for Shot), Event Dance of the Year (Check This), Hidden Gem of the Year (Baddie Behavior), and Best Line Dance Convention (BLISS). In addition, Dustin was also nominated for Male Personality of the Year, DJ of the Year, and his solo choreography for Absolute Beginner Dance of the Year (Some More of It). Sierra was also nominated for Female Personality of the Year.

Dustin and Sierra’s dances have been recognized globally, being danced all over the world at dance halls, clubs, conventions, classes, and workshops, and many of their dances have been used for line dance competitions across the nation.
